In 1991, Iris Johansen published a story called The Wind Dancer. Prior to this novel, all of her books had been romance novels that were part of the Loveswept series.
Although The Wind Dancer included romance in the story, there was also a significant element of suspense which helped introduce many new readers to Johansen’s writing.
Over the course of that year, she released some further novels in the series which became a trilogy. That was it until a decade later when a fourth book was released.
